Ruby Awoken is the epic coming of age story about a dwarf maid that just reached her majority. The night before the celebration of her coming-of-age, Ruby receives her inheritance from her deceased grandmother. What she ends up receiving is an emerald box containing a ruby that unlocks the powers within her to bend and manipulate nature to do her will, making Ruby an energy weaver. In order to learn how to use these new powers, Ruby has to leave her home and journey through the land of Heathstone with her dwarven guide, Cragdor. Along the way she is tutored by an elf, Pem, and learns just how different and powerful she truly is. Doubt and fear trail her path but Ruby learns to rely on friends and her own gifts to succeed. Journeying from the west to the east across Heathstone, Ruby forms a small guard and begins to fulfill a prophecy that she’s terrified to be part of. Along with Cragdor she is joined by the human Faylin, the halfling Marigold, and the elf Liras. It is then that Ruby must decide whether to let King Jarrack of the fallen elves dominate the world, or to take a stand against the rising tide of evil.
