‘I Just Want To Fly’ by C. Fulsty

A small pterodactyl emerges from her egg. She looks up at her mom and all of her siblings. They all decide to fly off to go get food, they’re all very hungry! When the little girl goes to fly though, she goes straight down and crashes into the ground. She shakes it off, pterodactyls are suppose to fly. This time, she climbs a little bit higher up the tree. From this height, I’m sure to fly, then she jumped. Down and down she went, crashing into the ground, hard. She shakes it off and climbs back up the tree again. This time she climbs even higher. From this height, I will fly! She jumps, and once again, goes down and down and crashes into the ground once more. Sitting on the ground, she says to herself, “maybe I’m not meant to fly, I can’t fly.” She finally decides, that she is meant to fly, she’s going to fly or get really hurt trying. She climbs up to the very top of the tree, either I’m going to fly, or I’m going to be very hurt. She closes her eyes and jumps. She opens her eyes to see the tree far behind her because she is flying!
