SOOP on Saturday: Top 20 popular book ideas for August 22, 2015

ocean-sunset-summer-lightWhat IS it about the end of summer that spurs us into action?

We see the clock of summer ticking down and think of all the things we want to get done before the calendar kicks into high gear! (I know I haven’t been to the beach often enough for my liking. What about you?)

Well somebody has been putting this time to good use, and we’ve got the votes to show for it! (Hint: 19th place is brand new to the Top 20.)

A word from author Nicole about Red

SOOP’s last four publications have all reached the status of #1 Hot New Release on Amazon.com and … SOOP is delighted to be working closely with Nicole Collet on the upcoming release of her book, Red. Here’s what she has to say about the process:

“RED is being produced for release and the whole process is quite exhaustive but at the same time immensely exciting and satisfying!

For one thing, it’s been my lifetime dream to publish a book. Now to see it coming true is just unbelievable. First it was the manuscript being professionally edited and polished, then there was the cover coming to life and turning gorgeous, and next it’s going to be the completion of the interior design.

My book is coming together beautifully, and I’m so proud of it. To say I’m “over the moon” is the understatement of the year.

Thank you so much for everyone at SOOP for helping me reach this far!

~Nicole Collet

School Days, School Days, Dear Old Golden Rule Days…

School days are still two weeks away, but some of our active authors have already been doing their “homework”. As you know, our author-driven model unlocks benefits when homework is done at each voting milestone. Congratulations to our authors who are setting the pace and climbing the mountain to publishing success.

That “homework” includes a self-assessment, and we take your comments seriously. You’ve got some dearly-held dreams for your books and we want to help you reach them. It’s great to be working with each and every one of you.

Kathy Reinhart, Ink Drop Interviews and Reviews

SOOP has a great relationship with Kathy Reinhart, whose interviews of two of our authors are among her Top Posts & Pages list. See her interviews of Aleksandar Veljic, author of Genocide Revealed, and Eric Mondschein, author of Life at 12 College Road. Stay tuned for more of Kathy’s interviews and reviews of SOOP’s up-and-coming authors…

Update and Apology

Blog Editor’s apology for an error: A Dress the Color of the Sky had already appeared in the previous Top 20 list, so saying “Highest Rank in its First Month, at 6th Place,” was my mistake. My apologies for the error. Kudos nonetheless to Jennifer Irwin. We wish you continued success.
